Meditation as a route to greater inner peace is well documented by the medical and psychological profession for its benefits both on the mind and body. These include relieving stress and increasing cognitive ability and lowering blood pressure and improving the function of the immune system so it has obvious benefits to us as individuals, particularly if practised on a regular basis.
However, today many people around the world are gathering to meditate on peace both within themselves and around them in their community and the nations. In fact, peace can only begin when we can conceive the idea and experience it ourselves. The positive correlation between our mindset and our behaviour is virtually a 'given', hence all the clinical research and intervention to master the mind in order to positively affect behaviour.
So, my contribution to you is a half-an-hour guided meditation via the wonders of telephone conferencing (both very new skills for me so be gentle!) to instill this sense of peace within us all.
I will probably use Skype so it should actually be a case of just giving my username for those that have access to this. For others, calls via telephone to Skype are normally the national call rate of 4-5p per minute. I will confirm the details you need to dial in nearer the time.
